LynX Gets Music!

Creative Nomad Muvo SLIM 128MB USB 2.0 with FM Radio

Yep, finally got my lazy ass off the computer chair to go to Low Yat to get a much-needed pendrive/mp3 player. After looking around at the various models around, i decided it was best to get this one from Creative, which has a stainless steel body, all the better to withstand the rigours of travelling in my posession, hehe.

Walked my ass off there, and felt abit nauseous after seeing those fashion disasters (male & female variants) trying to look "in" and "hip" or whatever twisted notion of proper dress they have: wearing flourescent beach shirts with collars up, completely bleached heads dyed some shade of horrible yellow, wearing a whole bottle's worth of "perfume" that actually smells like cat piss or something equally horrible, walking in sotong-like swaggers and wearing dark glasses.... indoors.

Now i remember why i hate going to places like this.

Anyway, the gadget in question has all teh usual stuff, no fancy bells and whistles like mmc expansion slots etc, and is a pretty solid piece without any creaking gaps or shaky buttons (unlike my handphone... *creak*). It has a radio, and can record songs from it as well, and can store a number of presets, a mic and an equaliser for the music.
The only downside is that it needs a seperate USB cable to interface with computers, and seems to only work with USB 2.0 ports, but that's easily solved with a USB converter head. The thing i like most about it is its not bulky like many models out there, its about as thick as a stack of 4-5 nametag cards. <3 player.

Now i have something to listen to at uni other than the droning of lecturers, hehe. Hmm, would be interesting trying to imagine the lecturer singing Pink Floyd.... *We don't need no education!*
