Bubbly

Yeah, I should blog more often, but freelancing's been keeping me busy so meh.

I went to Colbie Calliat's 'showcase' thing on the 14th of March at The Curve held far opposite Laundry Bar with Siryn.

Right from the start, it was apparent that the organisers didn't do as good a job as they could. Tiny stage, open air, in the middle of rainy season. So you can imagine what happened. Had dinner while waiting for it to start, and when I came out at 8pm it had started raining heavily, and the kiasu eager group of fans who had rushed into the fray were drenched, but still refused to take cover.

It rained for about 20 mins, after which a couple of local personalities (Adam and Natalie from Hitz.fm) 'entertained' the crowd with silly games and gave away signed posters and CDs... zzz. Natalie's overenthusiastic shouting down the mike nearly made me deaf. Just sayin', you know. As it turned out, the showcase ran along the infamous "Malaysian timing" Colbie only made her appearance at 9pm, by which time the rain had stopped.

Was worth it though, she and her band gave a great performance!
